FGP works closely with new entrepreneurs who want to learn how to franchise a business, as well as existing franchisors in the initial, early, or mature stages of franchise system development.

FGP's approach focuses on building growing, stable, and highly profitable franchise companies — not just fast growth. The firm emphasizes that franchise success has less to do with the number of franchisees and more to do with strategy, execution, and financial management.

## Founder

Scott J. Simcik is the President & CEO and a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE). Since 1986, Mr. Simcik was the founder and chairman of Inches-A-Weigh North America, Inc., reporting profitability in 23 of his 24 years in tenure. Inches-A-Weigh was acquired in 2010 by a Canadian firm. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (1983) and is a member of the International Franchise Association (IFA). He has been a guest speaker at franchise events and his company has been featured in Entrepreneur magazine, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal.
